The 4 regional final winners and last year's GO OC 2008 Best P45 Overclock and  Free Style champions battled it out for 5 hours of serious competition, and GIGABYTE  is pleased to announce team USA 1, consisting of teammates Fugger and Vapor was  crowned GO OC 2009 Worldwide Final champions.
<p>GO OC 2009 kicked off with  an opening speech from Henry Kao, Vice  President of GIGABYTE Channel Business. &quot;Starting in February this year, GIGABYTE held GO  OC 2009 country qualifiers in 26 countries worldwide followed by regional  finals in Czech, Thailand,  USA and China. After 4 months of serious  competition, we have an exceptional 4 teams of overclockers as well as last  year's GO OC 2008 champions ready to compete. Let's give them all a round of  applause to congratulate on making it to the worldwide GO OC 2009 final.&quot;</p>

<p>GIGABYTE is excited to  announce Team USA  (Fugger and Vapor) broke the 3DMark Vantage world record for GTX 260 Dual Card  SLI with PhysX disabled with a score of 28,093. The Belgium Team PT1T and  Massman won the SuperPI competition with a score of 6mins 40secs in SuperPI 32m with Intel Core™ i7 975 Processor  Extreme Edition and GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5. The frequency they were able to run  this benchmark at was 5.634GHz, proving GIGABYTE's GA-EX58-UD5 overclocking  ability with a 76% performance boost over the default 3.2GHz with 4 cores, 8  threads.</p>
<p>GO OC 2009 will be  remembered by overclockers and enthusiasts alike as the biggest and most  extreme overclocking competition in history. So what does GIGABYTE have in  store for GO OC 2010? You'll just have to wait until next year to find out. <br />

A total of 23 teams from 20 different countries worldwide gathered at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan to compete for the title of the GO OC 2008 champion. After 13 hours of serious competition, GIGABYTE is pleased to announce team Sweden, consisting of teammates elmor and SF3D, was crowned champion of the Best P45 OC. The winner of the GO OC 2008 Free Style Contest was team USA, with teammates FUGGER and Vapor, who broke 5 overclocking world records during the second scheduled 2 hour competition.<br><br>

GIGABYTE regional OC competitions are now in full swing worldwide to decide who has the overclocking skills to qualify as contestants for the GO OC. Designed for extreme overclocking performance, the EP45-EXTREME series of motherboards support Intel multi-core processors up to FSB 1600MHz, including the latest Intel 45nm processors. <font color = blue><b>Hybrid Silent-Pipe Delivering Maximum Cooling From Both Air and Water Cooling </b></font><br>
GIGABYTE’s unique Hybrid Silent-Pipe slot cooling system utilizes the natural convection of air inside and outside the chassis to dramatically and noiselessly cool down the North Bridge, South Bridge and CPU MOSFETs without the use of a fan. The GIGABYTE Hybrid Silent-Pipe can also be used with water block cooling systems for additional enhanced thermal performance, or alternatively it can be totally removed by experienced overclockers who wish to use a copper pot with dry ice or LN2 extreme cooling on the North Bridge. <br><br>

<font color = blue><b>80 Port Debug LED, Overclock, Overvoltage and Over Temperature Alert LEDs </b></font><br>
Catering to the overclockers’ infinite need for system information, the EP45-Extreme boards incorporate an 80 Port Debug LED, overclocking alert LEDs, overvoltage alert LEDs and also temperature alert LEDs. There are five blue overclocking alert LEDs that indicate from a minimal overclock with only one LED burning to a high overclock with five LEDs burning. There are three overvoltage alert LEDs that indicate a slight overvolt when the green one burns, a moderate overvolt when the yellow one burns and a high overvolt when the red one burns. Finally, there are two temperature LEDs that burn green when the CPU and North Bridge area temperature is between 61oC and 80°C and red when the area is above 80°C. <br><br>

The GIGABYTE EP45-Extreme motherboards also include Hardware Overvoltage Control ICs that provide more voltage control options than before for the CPU North Bridge and memory. The overvoltage controllers also provide hardware linear real-time voltage control, which means there is no delay compared to the GPIO controller in past implementations. In addition, GIGABYTE’s Hardware Overvoltage Controller ICs also allow for much finer voltage control, allowing power users to adjust voltage in smaller increments of as little as 20mV (or 0.002V) for better overclocking and tweaking. <br><br>

Taipei, Taiwan, April 7th, 2008 – GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, was proud to attended the 「Climate Savers Computing Initiative Forum」hosted by Intel and the Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI) on April 3rd .During the event, GIGABYTE was honored for their contribution to green computing. By minimizing electricity waste and reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions, GIGABYTE and the CSCI group hope to reduce global CO2 emissions from computing platforms by 54 million tons per year.<br><br>
